At the Mines, we dig less but ride more.
In the mineral landscape of Saint-Urbain, between veins of titanium and boreal forest, a new trail network is taking shape: Les Mines. Here, the industrial past turns into a playground for adventure, and traces of old mining sites can be spotted at every turn.
Designed for all skill levels, the site offers accessible yet dynamic trails. From flowing lines to more technical descents, every section pays tribute to the richness of the place: evocative names, bermed corners, seamlessly built wooden features, and that authentic touch you only find in Charlevoix.
Driven by a community initiative, Les Mines embraces friendliness and accessibility. It’s a place to progress, to explore, to have fun—on two wheels, with family, or among friends. Welcoming areas and facilities adapted for vanlifers round out the experience, with a distinctly local flair.
Connected to a broader offering that includes Domaine des Cîmes and Le Genévrier, this new sector adds a solid cornerstone to mountain biking in Charlevoix. And this is just the beginning.

Ride through the heart of an exceptional region
Thanks to a collaboration with the Charlevoix Geopark, Vélo Charlevoix invites mountain bike enthusiasts to (re)discover the trails from a whole new angle. Both on site and online, displays highlight the geological, ecological, and cultural richness of the area. This celebration of natural heritage allows cyclists to ride with a heightened awareness of the exceptional environment that surrounds us—for a more meaningful sports and travel experience.
This landscape shows part of the Charlevoix astrobleme, a complex crater left by a major meteorite impact. Charlevoix is one of the few places in the world where an astrobleme has been so well preserved.
