The “Entre fleuve et montagnes” road cycling route winds through the splendid scenic roads of Charlevoix. It is designed for experienced cyclists who want to take on a considerable challenge. Must-see stops punctuate the route, which winds between the immensity of the St. Lawrence River and the wilder, mountainous side of the Charlevoix region.
You can also extend the pleasure and explore the circuit, which winds its way through many of the region’s village centers, in cycle touring mode. With your panniers and all your camping gear, you can stop at a campground or two and take the time to soak up the region. Or, for a more minimalist approach, carrying only your windbreaker and toothbrush, still with the goal of further enjoying the charms of Charlevoix, why not stopping over at one of the many establishments along the route to savor local delicacies and relax in a cozy bed? Better still, and still with the aim of getting a better feel for the region, in cycle touring mode: descend—then climb back up…—the famous Côte des Éboulements to add our Tour de l’Isle to the circuit!
